What do I say today that hasn’t already been posted ad nauseum on the social networking sites?
I will reminisce a little…..
I was new in my job and the boss sent me to a youth alcohol prevention summit in Santa Fe, NM. Not just me though, I had 4 kids from the tribe who had never been that far away from home before. Everyone knows what and how that day went down but how many remember the eery total silence from our noisy skies for 24 hours? The only planes flying were military and those were mostly fighters doing combat take offs.
Our time was spent herding the kids and keeping them from weirding out. Also keeping worried parents from losing it. We were in no danger, but no one really knew that. All we knew was that thousands had died at the hands of a few terrorists. Along with the rest of the country, we perched in our rooms and watched the lurid scenes over and over and wondered what was going to happen next. The media played the scenes so many times, the pictures are burned into my memory even more than the images from December 7, 1941 which we have been watching on television for 74 years.
I would take this opportunity to address a couple issues.
- To the conspiracy theorists….. you have no clue. Your government is not going to kill thousands of our country’s citizens just to read your email… get over it, the government doesn’t care about your need to remove yourself from society because you are whacked. No one cares what you believe, there are no lizard aliens watching you or running your government.
- To the terrorists, if you actually read this, no one cares about your jihad. Go kill yourself and your friends with your bombs. Come to my neighborhood and I will do my best to give you the quickest method of meeting with Allah that I can.
- To you politically correct, can’t offend the muslims, bunch: Try reading the Koran. They really do want to control all women. All races are considered inferior and it really does say to not let the infidel live in his beliefs.
My family has served in every branch of the military, both sides in the civil war, numerous wars going back as far as war and as recent as current service in almost every generation since the inception of my family.
I feel no need to pander to your religious or political belief. Those in this country who choose to take the side of these people should move there, oh wait……you are scared to leave the comfort of your liberal leftist rights country where you can tell the cops to get off because it’s your right and… move to Afghanistan and see how long you stay, or even live….
