Really?

With dreams of retirement and sitting in the sun with a cold drink in hand, we sold the Jackson manse and have moved into our RV.

Well, it’s Washington state in the early summer and all should be well. Being debt free (other than space rental fees) we parked Bebop in a campground 100 yards from a well known river here in the Olympia area and decided o work a few extra months to gain that “free money” and enjoy a Western Washington summer. Rain, nothing but rain for days on end. If it gets over 60 degrees then we consider ourselves lucky, No hot sunny afternoons in our shaded site with laughter and cold drinks, no shorts, no sandals….Sigh. I should be saving on propane but alas, it’s getting down in the high 30’s to low 40’s at night.

One good thing is that we are getting our belongings pared down to manageable size.

I am of two minds about all the rain as we approach the July 4th holiday. Cool and wet means less fire danger but also means that I should go ahead and work the holiday and bag the extra dough. It also means that the first July 4th of what should be my retirement is going to not go according to plan, oh well.

Just a rant about weather here, I guess. I should be glad that it’s not over 100 degrees and sweltering.

remember to go outside and enjoy wherever you are, just dress appropriately.

It’s supposed to be in the 113 degrees range in Phoenix the next day or two. A gentle breeze and a pool make all the difference. I love my retirement and I’m sure you’ll love yours, too.
