Olympia in the fall

Here it is, October in Western Washington.  Full bore fall weather with temperatures in the 30’s at night and not really getting over 60 during the “heat” of the day.  Our garden has given it’s last of summer fruits and the leaves are changed.

Today got up to 60 (f) and was sunny, so E and I headed out to the farmers market in downtown Olympia.  This farmers market runs year round but obviously the summer harvest is declining.  There are still some good stone fruit but the big thing right now is all the late harvest apples (Washington ya know).  We bought some of the stone fruit and some root vegetables and had Gyros for lunch then walked it off along our lovely waterfront.

What a beautiful fall day here in the Pacific Northwest!

Everyone blogs about the great National Parks to visit but we are firm believers in going outside and playing no matter where you are.  Remember that your local sights and scenes are just as exotic to people who don’t get to see them.

All it takes is to get out and visit those spots and enjoy them when you can.

We’ll see you out there!
