The Drought Is Over
Gooooood Morning Las Vegas! I have returned to the land of the living.
It’s been since November when we visited our fair city in the desert and we have missed our home away from home. E has been here for a week already and I flew in last night.
A little background of the last couple of months might explain our actions here this time. We decided to retire from the work-a-day grind and have been trying to tie up the loose ends before we actually pull the plug.
As our regular readers know, we have been on the lookout for a new 5th wheel to replace Piper and we found it. This will be another blog on it’s own.
Between getting the new rolling home and truck ready to meet our needs, we have been packing up belongings and getting the house ready for listing. Everything came together yesterday and with great enthusiasm, our photographs were taken, the house is ready for listing and our agent is ecstatic and ready to list!
I, of course, in our normal pattern of “LOOK, THERE’S A SQUIRREL”, flew out immediately to Join E in Vegas. I just feel that even with the desire to get the house sold and us retired we needed some down time away from work, house prep and RV prep. Besides, house hunting in our favorite metro area is part of our retirement plans.
So, E picked me up at the airport and brought me home to a fabulous corner suite in the Vdarra Where I had an orange and promptly passed out until 5 a.m. Lol, so much for hitting the strip running and playing poker and enjoying the nightlife, lmao.
The plan: no real plan, just enjoy the desert, house hunt, area hunt and enjoy playing here in our favorite relaxing manner. Gonna look at the whole area, not just the Vegas metro. Gonna range out to Pahrump, Laughlin, Bullhead City, Just need to check in person, actual prices and conditions.
Or maybe we’ll wind up in Florida?
Let’s go outside

I talked with E about retirement several months ago. I can confirm that retirement is still excellent as we went to Maui for the first time in over 20 years!
I look forward to meeting you this coming Sunday.
